Things to do together
Small, low-prep activities for a normal day. Choose one — that is already enough.
One idea to start with
Feelings weather report
About 2 minutes · Nothing — dinner or the car ride will do.
- 1. Each person names their weather: “cloudy with showers”, “sunny with wind”.
- 2. Say one reason if you want to. Nobody has to explain.
- 3. Ask once, then let it be. No fixing, no persuading.
Weather words give children an easy way in, and it changes daily so it never feels like a test.
Pick what fits your day

Make it last a little
If something worked once, a small repeatable version is easier to keep than a big plan. Turn it into a goal with a time and a place, then tick it off on a printed chart.
